Our fitted bathroom packages start at £3,699, but a useful quote needs to describe the work in your particular room. The suite, shower, storage and finishes affect the price, as do repairs and changes to the plumbing. This guide explains how to compare the package with the final written quote. The aim is to understand what you are buying before you agree to installation, rather than choose from a headline price alone.
Start with the work you want done
Make a short list of the problems you want the refit to solve. You may want to replace a worn suite, improve shower access or add storage beside the basin. Decide whether the current layout works before assuming every fitting must move. Keeping a useful arrangement can avoid some plumbing changes, while a genuinely awkward layout may justify more work.
Tell the fitter about leaks, loose tiles, soft flooring or previous repairs. These details can affect the preparation needed before new finishes go on. Some problems can be assessed at the visit; others may only appear during removal. The quote should explain the agreed work and how additional repairs will be discussed if hidden damage is found.
Compare our bathroom packages as starting points
The Starter package begins at £3,699, Premium at £5,499 and Luxury at £7,995. The bathroom pricing page lists the current package contents. Your written quote confirms the actual products and work for your room. A package name is a convenient starting point, not a replacement for that itemised explanation.
You can discuss a combination of fittings from different packages. For example, useful vanity storage may matter more to you than a particular shower finish. Ask for optional changes to be shown separately so you can judge their value. Do not assume a feature seen in a gallery photograph is included unless it appears in the package details and your quote.

Check the suite, furniture and accessories
The price should identify the bath or shower tray, screen, toilet, basin and taps being supplied. Furniture, mirror, towel rail and accessories should be clear too. Product sizes matter as well as their names. A vanity that looks suitable online may need different plumbing or leave too little room for the door to open.
Ask whether the necessary wastes, support kits, panels and fittings are included with the selected products. These small items can be overlooked when comparing supply prices. If you want to provide a product yourself, agree that before ordering. The installer needs to confirm its suitability and explain responsibility for delivery, damage, missing parts and any product fault.
Include wall and floor preparation
New panels, tiles and flooring need suitable surfaces beneath them. Removing old finishes may expose uneven walls, loose boards or damage from a leak. The preparation can affect both the price and the time needed. A neat-looking surface is not enough if the layers underneath are unsuitable for the chosen system.
Ask which areas will be finished and how edges, corners and window recesses will be treated. For tiles, check the agreed extent and any special patterns. For wall panels, confirm the trims and sealing system. For flooring, include the doorway transition and any changes in finished height. These details make quotes easier to compare and help prevent different assumptions about the completed room.
Understand plumbing, electrics and access

Moving a toilet or shower can require new waste routes and additional work to the floor or walls. A different shower may need checks on water flow, hot-water supply or electrical capacity. The fitter should assess those requirements before a product is selected. A more expensive shower is not useful if the existing system cannot support it properly.
Access also forms part of the job. Discuss stairs, parking, deliveries and how old materials will be removed. If this is your only bathroom, agree how periods without the usual facilities will be managed. The written installation plan should be realistic about the room and household, rather than promise the same fitting time for every property.
Read the payment and finance details
The written quote should state when payment is due and how changes to the work will be agreed. Our cash payment policy is payment after completion and inspection of the work. Finance is a separate agreement and has its own terms. Do not assume the cash payment arrangements describe how a finance provider will collect repayments.
Finance is available from £22 per week, subject to status and affordability. Before applying, request the rate, repayment term, deposit if applicable and total amount repayable for the proposed agreement. The weekly amount alone does not show the full cost. Compare that total with the cash price and make sure the payment schedule is affordable for your circumstances.
Compare like-for-like written quotes
A useful comparison checks the products, installation, preparation, waste removal and any exclusions side by side. If one quote is shorter or cheaper, ask what it includes rather than assuming the difference is simply profit or quality. Avoid relying on general claims about what all local fitters or national retailers charge. The actual written offers are what matter.
